| ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA DAY OF TRUTH & FREEDOM JANUARY 23 No work! No school! No shopping! Seattle area solidarity actions: MLK Labor passed this resolution for solidarity with Minnesota pursuant with OWLS’ campaign to educate and build for a general strike. It calls for solidarity with Minnesota in their “powerful unified statewide action on January 23, 2026, known as the Day of Truth and Freedom, and are calling for No Work, School, or Shopping on that day.” This resolution urges union affiliates, members, and the broader community to show their support for Minnesota labor by participating in synchronized solidarity worksite and school actions at 12:00 noon on January 23, 2026, to coincide with the beginning of a mass march called by labor in Minneapolis at 2:00pm Central Time. Such actions may include scheduling lunch and break times for noon sidewalk sign-waving, whistle-blowing, or other worksite solidarity actions to express our unity. See below for the full resolution. Plan for how your coworkers can show solidarity at noon on Friday, and spread the word! If you can’t do any of these things, at least make a sign expressing solidarity with Minnesota and take a selfie with it.
